Peri-menopause or menopause transition usually occurs in women aged between 40 and 50. The related symptoms show up because the ovaries gradually produce lesser Estrogen, the female hormone. This condition lasts until menopause and the production of Estrogen will deteriorate even more within the last two years of Perimenopause.
Perimenopause is commonly characterized by uneasy symptoms like hot flushes, breast tenderness, fatigue, irregular periods or heavy bleeding at intervals, vaginal dryness, mood swings, abnormal perspiration during the night/night sweats, anxiety, depression, muscular pain, irritability, and sleeping disorder.
