வெட்பாலை இலைகளையும், தேங்காய் எண்ணையையும் கொண்டு தயாரிக்கப்படும் வெட்பாலை தைலத்தை வீட்டிலேயே தயார்செய்து கொள்ள முடியும். வெட்பாலை (wrightia tinctoria) இலைகளின் எடைக்கு சமஅளவு தேங்காய் எண்ணெய் எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவும். வெட்பாலை இலைகளை அகலமான பாத்திரத்தில் இட்டு, இலைகள் மூழ்கும் வரை தேங்காய் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றி, வெயிலில் வைக்கவும். மூன்று முதல் ஐந்து நாட்கள் வெயிலில் வைக்க, கருநீலச் செம்மை நிறத்தில் (கிட்டத்தட்ட பொட்டாசியம் பெர்மாங்கனேட் நிறம்) அழுத்தமான தைலம் கிடைக்கும். இலைகளைப் பிழிந்து தைலத்தைச் சேகரித்து வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.
பயன்படுத்தும் முறை
செதில் உதிர் படை இருக்கும் இடங்களில் தைலத்தைப் பூசி, மூன்று மணி நேரம் ஊறவைத்து, பின் பாசிப்பயறு மாவு பூசிக் குளித்து வரலாம். தொடர்ந்து பயன்படுத்தினால் நோய் நீங்கி நலம் பெறலாம். நோயின் தீவிர நிலையில் சித்த மருத்துவரின் ஆலோசனையின் பேரில் வெட்பாலைத் தைலத்தை 5-10 மி.லி. அளவு எடுத்து, பாலுடன் கலந்து உள்ளுக்கும் சாப்பிட்டு வரலாம்.
